Every Songmont bag undergoes hundreds of iterations and refinements, from design to craftsmanship, from raw materials to the finished product. We combine traditional handmade techniques with top-notch craftsmanship to ensure the utmost quality.
The leathers used in our bags are carefully selected top-grain cowhides, providing a soft and supple touch with a delightful grain texture. As they are used, they gain a beautiful luster, enhancing their appearance over time. Additionally, we offer suede and eco-friendly leather options. The main leather components of all Songmont bags are biodegradable, contributing to our commitment to environmental sustainability.
「Materials」
Songmont utilizes serafil threads from Germany, the same high-quality threads used in luxury products, for all its stitching. The edge paint is sourced from Fenice in Italy, and both have undergone rigorous high-temperature and extreme-cold testing.
「Traditional Craftsmanship」
Songmont has aspecial team of experienced grannies, each with an average of over 40 years of expertise. Despite the rapid industrial development, they have preserved certain traditional elements, such as using Chinese silk as the lining for some bags, making them more appealing and beloved among young people. We take great pride in this aspect of our craftsmanship.
「Hardware」
Songmont treats hardware as enduring works of art, forged and designed to last. Through multiple rounds of tumbling, the gold-plated hardware develops a uniform pattern of wear, enhancing the texture and making it less susceptible to fingerprints and scratches. It is worth noting that the vacuum plating process is environmentally friendly, with 98.8% real gold plating.
It exceeds traditional water plating methods by 25 times in both hardness and wear resistance, and it's less prone to oxidation and discoloration. Additionally, we employ an aging process to enhance the texture and durability of the hardware, ensuring it stands the test of time. We also conduct tests in the following areas for our hardware: manual quality, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. Only after passing these tests can our hardware meet you. Original dumpling-shaped ring, abstract lines and forms, irregular frame shape for a more naturally random form, breaking away from traditional symmetry.
