Beauty Of Time's Mark, Nature's Imprint
The philosophical design concept of Songmont's atmospheric spaces integrates natural textures and temporal impressions, aiming to create places where users can encounter nature. The core idea involves resonating with local natural elements, echoing the imagery of "pines below the mountains" within indoor environments.
The pine tree stands tall, growing amidst the cracks of rocks, embodying both poetry and resilience. Spaces with mountains and pines offer views, pathways, journeys, and homes—ideal places where we envision meeting everyone. In the design of our offline stores, we not only continue the brand's essence of "mountain" and "pine" imagery but also integrate natural landscapes and textures from various places, aiming to break the monotony of artificial spaces with the soothing and relaxing energy of natural textures.
Moonlit Pines
Taikoo Li Sanlitun
The design of this space draws inspiration from nature and adheres to sustainability, marking a significant milestone in Songmont's "Sustainability Project" for its offline stores. From the outset of every store design, we ensure that sustainable design connections are in place, allowing materials to be effectively recycled and reused. In the new Sanlitun store, 80% of the fixtures are made from repurposed materials from the previous location, perfectly blending the spatial concept with sustainability.
This project exemplifies the balance between innovation and environmental responsibility. Abstract representations of mountains and pine trees form a modern pine forest pathway, offering a tranquil, immersive experience for customers.

Crossing the Sea for Stones
THE MIXC
This space draws inspiration from the legend of Mount Penglai, embracing Eastern aesthetics rooted in nature and introspection. It incorporates "sea" and "stone" as natural symbols, interwoven with the poetic imagery of "mountain" and "pine," blending the cultural landscape and local customs of the Qilu region. Upon entering the space, you're transported to a realm of mountains and seas, imbuing a sense of transcendent serenity and detachment.
The wall display mimics the undulating waves of the sea, breaking the otherwise straightforward and rectangular layout, introducing an element of mystery. At the center, a cylindrical installation resembling a conch shell forms a tranquil island, crafted from sedimentary rock to restore the natural textures. Immersed in this space, you feel like crossing the sea for several days, emerging with a quiet determination.
The He Bo (the River God of the Yellow River) clay sculptures are presented at the Qingdao space, located near the mouth of the Yellow River, inviting reflections on its origins and showcasing the vitality of Eastern-style romanticism.

Pine Pavilion
Rock Bund Store
"Listening to the pines" is a mindful interaction between humans and nature, a process of gaining insight through attentive perception. Songmont invites guests to the "Pine Pavilion," where they can find peace within and listen to the sound of the wind through the pines.
In terms of space design, Songmont has crafted a platform and sloping eaves, abstracting the essence of ancient pavilions and integrating their charm into the space. A round mirror is placed within the space, symbolizing self-reflection and personal cultivation. When the mirror is rotated, light gently touches its surface, revealing finely embedded mica sheets with a cracked texture, reminiscent of the passage of time.

Four Waters Courtyard
Taikoo Li Qiantan
"Si Shui Gui Tang (Four Waters Return to the Hall)" is a design form of Jiangnan Hui-style architecture. During the rainy season, rainwater cascades from the eaves on all sides, forming a curtain of rain. When the weather clears, sunlight floods the courtyard, offering beauty throughout the year.
The roof of Taikoo Li Qiantan mirrors the traditional Si He Fang structure, surrounding a central courtyard. Suspended light fixtures above simulate natural light spilling into the courtyard, creating an immersive experience of light, wind, and rain.
"Stone is the smallest mountain." The abstract form of Taihu stones is extracted and crafted into screens and seating, seamlessly blending into the corners of the space, evoking a peaceful and distant state of mind.
