We carefully select high-quality top-grain leather, rigorously screening each section of the hide for precise trimming. Following this, the hides are placed in wooden drums with plant-based tanning agents for an extensive 30-45 day drum tanning process. During this period, the leather undergoes natural oxidation from sunlight and air, creating an exquisite patina on its surface. These meticulous steps ensure superior quality and enhance the timeless allure of our leather products, allowing them to age gracefully.

Songmont's proprietary vegetable-tanned leather combines a sense of age with sophistication. This leather enhances the traditional vegetable-tanned rough texture by using extremely rare Spanish top-grain calf leather. Through the application of plant tannins and innovative techniques, the leather acquires a timeless quality reminiscent of aged vegetable-tanned leather. This process improves upon the initial lack of refinement found in new vegetable-tanned leather while maintaining a lightweight feel.
